During a class that I took called Theta healing. Where you or the person you are working on is taken to a theta (close to dream state) state and then past issues are discussed and those issues are tried to be resolved.
In this class, we were taught to pray for having success without struggle. And that it’s a birth right.
So what about all the people who say, to get anything good one must struggle.
This reminds me of the saying:
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
By job it doesn’t only mean career. It means any task you take on.
So in Theta or other techniques what they were trying to do is is to get you directed towards what you would enjoy doing. As the sub conscious believes thru years and ancestors worth of data, that u have to not only struggle but suffer as well. and so sometime you get pushed to do awful things.
Wa likullin wijahatun hua muwalliha.
In the Quran god says, he is the one who directs you to your direction.
The problem with most of us, is that we get on to a task that is demanded by others. by institutions, by family, by religious organizations etc.
I enjoyed Steve Job’s speech at a Stanford university graduation, and this is just an example of some of the quotes. Im not prescribing a corporate way of lifestyle for everyone or anyone:
“u cannot connect the dots looking forward, u can only connect them looking backwards”
“u have to trust in something, destiny, god, karma or whatever, because believing that those dots will connect in the future, will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads off the well worn path, and that will make all the difference”
“the heaviness of being succesful, was replaced by the lightness of beginning from nothing, none of which would have happened if i wasn’t fired from apple, it was an awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.”
“the only thing that kept me going, was that i loved what i did, and the only way to be truly satisfied, is to do what u believe is great work, and the only way to do great work, is to love what you do.”
this is the most important bit: “if you havent found it yet, keep looking and dont settle, as with all matters of the heart, you will know when you find it, and like any great relationship, it gets better and better as the years role on.”
coming back to the original topic, life is a struggle no doubt, but when you follow your heart, or keep trying, you will eventually come to the day where…”you will never have to work a day in your life.”
note: Steve Jobs, dropped out of university, and because he did, he found time to take a class about calligraphy. And because he took this class, which he didn’t know at that time whether it would be of use to him or not, he used that skill when he built his mac machines, where all the fonts were designed by him. He says Microsoft, copied it from him. Ill take his word for it. because i havent had a chance to talk to Bill about it yet.
